Cush had a pretty solid day down at LCJ HobbyWorld. In 4wd SC he qualified 2nd, but a rough first lap filled with lots of contact with other racers put him in a huge hole and he had to drive the wheels off the truck and battle through a lot of trucks to get back to his 4th place finish. He ripped the fastest lap of the day in the class- a 15.3, and could have easily been in the mix for the win had his luck been a bit better early on.
In 4wd Buggy, he picked up where he left a month ago at LCJ. His 2nd round TQ time held for the day, and he set fast lap of the day of a 15.009. Starting from the pole Cush jumped out right from the tone and was able to cruise to a convincing victory when the majority of the field got mixed up in the first lap. With a big lead Cush clicked into cruise control, clicking off consistent laps and moving through lap traffic like they weren't there.
The biggest class of the day was the 2wd Buggy class, and the pits were buzzing about the new 210. After the first two rounds of qualifying Cush was seeded into the B qualifier for round 3- popped ball cups in the first two ended both runs that looked to be solid enough to make the A. In the third qualifier he finally was able to put in a clean run and earned the 2nd spot on the grid behind Brodie Yocum. In the main Brodie and Cush broke away from the field and ran nose to tail for 10 laps before Brodie bicycled going into the uphill tabletop 180 turn, allowing Cush to sneak by on the inside. Once past, Cush's lines were consistent and fast. Two wins and a top 5 for Cush and his Team Durango/Tresrey DEX210, DEX410, and DESC410.
